Synthesizing the fragmented literature on capacity building and scholar retention requires a rigorous conceptual mapping approach to chart institutional practices, collaborative environments, and systematic developmental pathways [4].

This study maps the evidence base surrounding institutional capacity and early-career researcher retention within the national scientific landscape. Employing a structured secondary-source mapping methodology, the analysis classifies institutional mechanisms, collaborative writing networks, and support frameworks that influence career trajectories. The resulting evidence map provides a systematic foundation for academic policy design, identifying critical institutional gaps and informing sustainable strategies for scientific human capital retention.
