Despite these essential conceptual insights, a significant research gap persists regarding how macro-level labour market resilience mechanisms interact with sub-national cultural, institutional, and informal dynamics in regional coal enclaves. Existing scholarship frequently prioritizes formal aggregated employment indicators, thereby overlooking localized informal workforce networks, gender and caste stratifications, and indirect supply-chain dependencies. Furthermore, the methodological scope of this inquiry is constrained by notable limitations. The comparative synthesis relies on disparate secondary datasets that reflect heterogeneous reporting standards across administrative jurisdictions. Longitudinal employment tracking across informal coal-dependent value chains remains scarce, restricting the empirical assessment of sustained intergenerational labour reallocation. Additionally, evolving policy frameworks and subsidy realignments introduce prospective analytical uncertainty, highlighting the necessity for future localized investigations.
