This tension between technological capability and institutional readiness threatens to undermine the very efficiency these systems are designed to enhance. Rapid deployment of automated systems often bypasses traditional institutional oversight committees, creating a governance gap that threatens long-term stability. When predictive analytics determine student eligibility for retention programs or financial assistance, the absence of transparent auditing mechanisms introduces significant legal and ethical vulnerabilities.
